When I’m finishing up a session and getting them ready for my client on the computer, I individually select each picture and convert it to black and white (B/W). Did you know that not every picture really looks good as a B/W? Sometimes the color is necessary to help convey the emotion of the image. And some pictures tell such a story that the color is almost distracting. So what I thought I’d do is a post all in B/W just to switch things up a bit!
We loved this doorway. And they were so obliging with my ideas. I really like how this one came out, and the black and white version makes it even more striking. They are such a handsome couple that I think this could be a magazine cover.
They really LOVE each other. Such a sweet set of siblings!!
She is beautiful, no? And he is quite the ham!! Loved getting to photograph them.
Okay, well almost all black and white. I loved the pink door on this one, and Big Sister posed herself so sweetly in front of it, that I couldn’t help but end with this one. 🙂

I LOVE these pictures. My train loving Sam needs a picture of his family on the railroad! These make me want to move our session to downtown butI know my mom would prefer greenery. They will be just as lovely!
I think the black and white really went well with the railroad…I agree about the mag cover, too. 😉
However, that pink door is to die for. Great shoot, Shan!
