Kyler. 8 days old.
“We absolutely loved working with Shannon. Not only did she make the session easy and fun for the whole family, but she was also able to capture beautiful pictures of our boys that we will cherish forever! (Not the easiest with a 2 year old big brother) Her creativity brought our photos to life.”

I’ve been photographing newborns in College Station for a while now, and what a joy it is to have repeat clients. I feel like I have a front row seat for watching these little ones grow and become a big brother or sister. Each one interprets the role a little differently, and I try to capture that (keeping in mind their ages and stage of development.) I have about four or five different sibling set ups I can work through depending on the cooperation ability of the oldest. 😉 Here Mr. Keaton is gently tucking in little brother Kyler. I can only imagine all the wrestling that will come in just a few short years.

The whole beautiful family!
Any newborn photographer will tell you it’s a dilemma when you have a baby with such beautiful hair. The question becomes: hat or NO hat?!!
I have a pretty regular workflow when I photograph a newborn. That predictability allows me freedom to experiment a bit, like this portrait below.
Kyler’s mom brought this hat and asked if I would incorporate it. Absolutely no problem! It goes perfectly with the “froggy” pose, don’t ya’ think?
Thank you And Whatnot Boutique for the perfect knitted hat.
Kyler’s parents also enjoy golf. So when they told me that they had a child-size set of clubs, well…let’s just say the creativity began to flow!
Kyler’s parents’ loveys.
And now for little toes. 🙂
In addition to professional-quality prints and a canvas of their sweet baby, they also ordered birth announcements which will serve as Christmas cards. Very clever idea!!
