Studio Cleaning Policies

Keeping our studio clean has always been a high priority, but I realize that we are now in a time where clients and families want to know a bit more about what that entails. Especially because we meet and interact with the newest members of your family, here are some of the ways we work to protect them and you!

1. We thoroughly clean before and after each session and ordering appointment. This includes sweeping, sanitizing hard surfaces, cleaning the bathroom, and wiping down door handles, cabinet knobs, and appliances.
2. All fabrics and props are washed after each client. Let’s be honest – babies do three things well – eat, sleep, and fill diapers. We make sure they have full tummies and are sleeping, so the other is bound to happen, too! Beyond washing all fabrics and props that baby comes into contact with, we also regularly wash and sanitize other soft surfaces such as pillows and cushions.
3. Hand washing! We frequently sanitize our hands during newborn sessions, but also are sure to use soap/water before and after sessions! Our staff is also diligent to report if they or any member of their family is under the weather. As moms ourself – we see your babies like our own and want to protect them from any possible illness, even if it’s just a case of the sniffles!
4. Our studio has always prided itself on being fully present for the client we are meeting with. When we are scheduling a newborn session, you can rest assured that there will only be immediate family in the studio aside from myself and an assistant.
5. Along the same lines as #4, we only book one newborn client a day. While some may look at that model and wonder why we don’t do a morning and afternoon client block – much of this has to do with our desire to limit cross contact from family to family. This gives us time to do a full cleaning and reset all of our items before we welcome our next family in.
