Regarding Fall 2012

Happy September, everyone!!  Even though the temperatures in Texas still reflect the summer, there is no doubt that we are headed into the fall, and I am extremely excited!! When I was younger, I realized that I love everything about the fall: the cooler weather, beautiful red, orange, and brown colors, pumpkins, football games, and hot apple cider!  I really cherish this time of year!! And now that I’m older there is the opportunity to serve YOU all through photography.  So in an effort to communicate, I put together this post so that we’d all be on the same page.  Please let me know if I can answer any questions!!

Remaining Fall session time slots:

I have about 6 remaining time slots open between now and December.  I will fill these on a first come, first serve basis. I’d love for YOU to have one of those slots, so don’t delay.  Email me directly: smortonphotography@gmail.com OR use the contact form on this site to request a slot.  Remember that your slot is not officially yours until I receive your retainer fee.

Dallas and Houston:

It is a joy to have friends and clients around the state, and although I don’t normally travel to do sessions, I do try to make accommodations if I’m already going to be in a particular city.  This fall, we’ll be in Dallas and Houston on the following dates:

**Dallas – September 28 and 29 (3 remaining time slots)

**Houston – November 2 and 3 (4 remaining time slots)

Email me directly: smortonphotography@gmail.com OR use the contact form on this site to request a slot.

Pumpkin Patch mini-sessions:

Once again I would like to mention how much I LOVE the fall!!  So I’m putting together details for pumpkin patch mini-sessions.  They will likely be scheduled for mid to late October.  And this year, I will be setting up a pumpkin patch area in my own backyard!!  Our new house (which we are extremely thankful for!) has the perfect area for a pumpkin patch!!  More details will be available through this site and Facebook towards the end of September/beginning of October.

Sunday Sabbath:

As many of you know, I am a Christian.  I believe firmly in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for my sins.  I also believe firmly in the word of God!  It has life principles, stories, and commands that I need in order to lead a life that reflects my belief in Christ.  One of these life principles that I have gotten away from is the idea of a Sabbath or a day of rest.  Eek!  I can see in so many ways that I desperately need that again in my life.  So beginning today, I will not check emails or do anything photography related on Sundays so that I can spend that time resting and worshiping. I’m gonna take a break, y’all!!

If you need me, please still do email or call, and I will answer those as quickly as possible when I am back in the office on Monday.  Thanks in advance for understanding!!

As always, it is my joy to serve you and to interact with your beautiful families!!  Thank you for the privilege!!!
