Ramsey. 14 days old.
When looking for someone to capture memories, I have always taken the easy, convenient way out. With the birth of my second child, I was determined to find someone who would not only portray this miracle in a beautiful way, but also create pieces that would last a lifetime in our family. Shannon Morton did just that for us. Her innate talent shined as she delicately handled our sweet daughter, carefully crafted images, and shared them with her warm smile. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

It’s almost Christmas time! I absolutely LOVE this season. Seriously. So each of my December babies have had at least one-Christmas themed set up. They’ve been similar but also unique. For Ramsey’s I incorporated a sled and pine cones and this precious blanket and hat pair from Adorable Props.
Ramsey’s mom requested red, teal and white. These are the main colors in her nursery, and I think they go so beautifully together.
Sometimes too I like to keep things simple, like this white on white combo. (Tieback headband from Krown Kouture Props.)
And now red!! A few facts: Red is my signature color. Simply love its vibrancy. Second, it’s one of the hardest colors to use in newborn portraiture because it can create a reflection onto the baby’s skin (known as a “color cast”), which can be time-consuming to remove. But when done properly by a professional, the color red is stunning with a newborn. (Headband from from Pinkytinks.)
Love these delicate pearl set up. (Headband is from And Whatnot Boutique.) And the pearl necklace was a donation to my business from my best friend. Awww…
Ramsey is in good hands. Her sweet big sister Grady takes care of her so sweetly.
In addition to a canvas of the girls above, Ramsey’s parents decided to purchase the whole gallery of images on CD; they just couldn’t bare to part with any of them. I was so happy to provide this family with so many great memories of such a fleeting season of life.
