I’ve been photographing sweet newborns for a while now, and I love all of my clients!  I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve each one.  This particular one is fun because not only was she beautiful and slept like a champ, but she shows off the cooperative spirit that exists among photographers in the Bryan/College Station area.  One fellow photographer, who is no longer serving newborns, referred Caroline’s mommy to me.  And another fellow photographer loaned me a few props to use, including the beautiful bloomers you see below.  I am indebted to both ladies.

 Love baby details.  They really are only little once, which is why it’s crucial to schedule a newborn session no later than the beginning of your third trimester.  I’ll want to see your little one when he or she is 5-12 DAYS old. 🙂

I hear a lot that people like this pose because of their little hands resting so gently on their cheeks.  It is precious for sure.

I really love all the angles we can get when baby is in this particular pose.

For those who know me personally, they know how much I love English period shows and movies.  So when I saw this hat from a vendor, and she named it a “Downton Abbey” hat, well…let’s just say that within a week it was at my house.  The fun thing is that I modified it a bit and can switch out the bow in the front to match the set up, so you’ll probably see it in most of my girl sessions.  🙂

Tone on tone is a favorite!

To me it looks like Caroline is floating on a cloud.  (Headband: Chica Chica Creations.)

This was my favorite image of the day.  Caroline’s mom told me that in her nursery were trees, flowers, pinks, greens, and creams.  So I began to brainstorm this shot.  Most of the time it’s accomplished with a backdrop, but I actually found flowers I liked better at Hobby Lobby and then had the mom hold them off to the right.  There is enough distance in between her and Caroline to keep them a little “fuzzy” in the background.  Lots of thought goes into creating a piece of art, I tell ya’!

 These were the last shots I took.  And I literally had already put my camera down in order to start cleaning up when I looked back over at Caroline, and she was giving me these big ol’ smiles.  Eep!  Thankfully, she held those smiles and we were able to get some great memories for her mom.

 Of course, Caroline was beautiful in black and white as well.  🙂

Caroline’s mommy ordered a few things, including custom birth announcements, as you see below, and an album.  Below is one page of the album.  It turned out so beautifully and is a treasured keepsake for all of them.
