There has been a boom of newborn babies here in College Station. What’s fun is that it’s almost predictable! There’s a big crop of sweet new babies in late August/early September, another batch in November, and another in March/April. Not that babies aren’t born year ’round. 😉 But rather that there is an influx at these particular times of the year! And very exciting for me since I get to hold them and photograph them. Love this job!!
So in order to keep up with the steady stream of precious little ones, I’m gonna post some newborn highlights! The first is handsome Mr. Hudson. He’s the third born boy in his family, but isn’t his mom amazing that she made sure to get pictures of him!! She’s the best!!
Sometimes he slept…and sometimes he was wide awake!!
The whole darling family. 🙂
Hudson is sporting a wonderfully patriotic cap knitted by my friend Julie. She is one creative gal! Here’s a link to her shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/andwhatnotboutique.
Introducing Mr. Jackson. His parents brought this super cool box (“Made in Texas”) to use during his session, so we did!! Then, they left it with me to use with other newborns. (I absolutely get the nicest people as clients! So thankful for each one!!)
For most newborn sessions, I like to get outdoor and indoor images, and I have a number of props, blankets, hats, and headbands. I ask the parents to choose what they like and go from there to make each session unique!
I definitely welcome parents bringing any items they have that are important to them or make their session unique. In this case, Jackson’s daddy is a BIG baseball fan…and I’m guessing one day Jackson will be, too. 😉
Most of my newborn clients receive 20 to 30 images from their session, and they have their favorites for sure. I have mine, too. 🙂 This was one of my favorites of Jackson. His eyes are just so beautiful!!
Then there was little Miss Griffin. Beautiful, petite, and super safe in her mommy’s arms. This picture was taken in my backyard, which I am very thankful for!! We recently moved into this new-to-us home, and it offers such great spaces for photographing newborns (really all babies!!).
Miss Griffin and her adoring daddy!!
And her beautiful mommy!!
Another delightful hat from AndWhatNot Boutique!
