Cristina. 8 days old.
“When I was 30 weeks pregnant, I decided to start looking for a photographer who could capture the first, sweetest moments of our daughter’s life, so I started to do my research in Google. Shannon was the first one listed. Then I started to look at her pictures and immediately fell in love with her beautiful work. I didn’t even look for other photographers; I knew right away that she was the right person to capture my baby’s pictures. I’m so thankful we choose her; she did a wonderful job on our photos. She had everything ready within a week, and when we saw the pictures for the first time, we cried. Shannon captured images that will always be in our hearts! So if you are looking for newborn pictures, Shannon is the best choice.”

Ah, beautiful Cristina. Probably one of the tiniest little newborns I’ve photographed in a long time. She was about 6 lbs!!
But she had the best little cheeks. (Headband from And Whatnot Boutique.)
Sweet Cristina blessed me. She slept and slept, so we played a lot of dress-up. 😉 (bonnet from Blueberry Bonnets and Props)
Not to brag too much, but I made this bonnet in this image. Cristina modeled it beautifully.

Can you see her little smirk?
Cristina’s mom wanted light pink and light purple for her session. So added a bit of purple here. You can see those squishy cheeks!! Love them. 🙂
Profile images are becoming one of my favorites to include. Nothing beats those little noses and lips.
I know it was February, but in Texas you can have some exceptionally warm and humid days right before those last cold fronts begin to push through. Cristina happened to come on one of those days. I think it was close to 70 degrees when we took her outside, kept her covered, and then for just a few quick minutes uncovered her and captured these images her mom really wanted: a little ladybug in the garden.
