Abigayle. 10 days old.
“Shannon truly captured the preciousness of our newborn daughter in such a sweet way! Being “do-it-yourself” kind of people, and having taken other pictures ourselves in the past, my husband and I first attempted taking our daughter’s newborn pictures. We quickly realized how naive we were and that there’s a reason people hire a professional like Shannon! I remember spending a frustrating two hours trying to take her pictures with no luck and wishing I would have spent that time taking a nap with my baby instead! Shannon gave us such a great experience – we were able to rest and relax while she photographed all the sweet details we had hoped for so we could remember our daughter’s sweet little toes, eyelashes, sleepy smile, chubby cheeks, etc. Shannon didn’t just take our daughter’s pictures; she captured the sweetness of our baby in a way we will cherish forever.”

There is no doubt that it was a huge treat for me to photograph these sweet friends I met here in College Station some five years or so ago. Corrie is a talented seamstress and created a number of items for this session, including the bloomers in this first picture below. And her aunt made this beautiful quilt! I absolutely LOVE incorporating special pieces like this that made a family’s session unique to them.
So we decided on a very organic and soft feel for Abigayle’s session. Love this bonnet from Strawberry Sprinkles.
Sweet little flower child. 🙂
Abigayle’s mom also made this headband and asked if we could include it. Isn’t she a talented gal?!
Beautiful wrap below from Fancy Fabric and Props.
Cheeks!! Lips!! (Delicate headband from And Whatnot Boutique.)
Little tiny eyelashes and toes really win me over.
Finally, Abigayle spent that last part of her session with some peaceful alert time. No kidding, I felt like she had amazing eye contact and kept looking right at me. Sweet girl!! (Headband from Devoted Knits and wrap from lilian.grace.)
