A spontaneous birth is one that comes about without the help of infertility treatments.
Spontaneous twin births happen in 1 out of 80 births. Spontaneous triplet births happen in 1 out of every 8000 births. So needless to say, it’s a big deal!! Triplets are often born premature and require time in the NICU while their organs and bodies fully develop. It is a very tender situation and one that requires much prayer and support for the parents and rest of the family.
Eric and Stacey Brown have two beautiful children, and I have been honored to photograph their family in year’s past. When I heard they were having triplets and growing to a family of seven, I wanted to help and support them in a way that best fit with the resources I had available. You can see some of the results in the video below. It was the first time we had triplets in the studio, and my staff was eager to get to be there that day. They were so excited to take care of those three little loves!
But we were not the only ones who supported them. Many groups, families, and neighbors have reached out and provided meals, babysitting, childcare, errand-running…all such sweet gifts of time, money, and energy. One Sunday school class from First Baptist Church in Bryan has gone above and beyond to love on and care for the Browns.
Stacey brought three very special blankets that had been carefully and prayerfully crocheted for each girl, one distinct color per baby. She asked me for a keepsake picture for each girl with the blanket. No problem!!
Elli was the first one to be photographed on her blanket, and we ooohed and aahed as she smiled almost on cue!! This is a big deal because even though I can tell when it’s coming, I can’t make it happen. It’s usually a waiting game, and even then it’s not guaranteed.
Next, was Sylvi. When she smiled too while lying on her blanket, we got excited. What if Liza smiled too, especially while lying on these very important blankets?! Well, not to ruin the surprise, but take a peek at the video below!!
